Gr 2-4-Silliness takes center stage in this second installment of the illustrated chapter book series by alien high jinks expert Hale. Following their trip to the alien planet Kroon, Mateo, Tina, Booker, and their babysitter Jennica can't stop thinking about the space portal in the woods and the alien friends they met on their adventure: NoWay and Clorox. Just when they consider visiting the portal again, NoWay and Clorox show up at their front door and report that Grunthar, the evil alien inventor, has come through the portal and is now loose in their town. Together the friends must find Grunthar before he can inflict too much damage. Hale is known for his wacky stories, and this one delivers. S�guin-Magee's cartoon-style illustrations highlight the various alien life-forms and bring the pizza-fueled plot to life. VERDICT Recommended for collections where alien and science fiction stories are popular.
