Korinna is raised to be a weapon for the empire. Aster is prepared to tear it all down.
Heresy is power. Chaos is divine
Korinna has simple priorities: stay on the Navitas, stay out of trouble, and stay alive. She may be a blind priestess with the power to manipulate space-time, but she is the weakest in her Order. Or so she has been raised to believe. When she finishes her training, her destiny is revealed to her: she is meant to become a weapon of the Imperium. But when she is kidnapped by pirate Aster Haran, Korinna's world is ripped apart.
Aster is a witch, a dark matter eater. She has a vendetta against the Imperium, and the will to destroy everything in her path. She can train Korinna to use her magic to a devastating effect, and Korinna is drawn to her against her better judgment.
Sahar is a judge for the empire, tasked with keeping order. She must find Korinna and return her to her ship. As war and Sahar loom closer, Korinna must choose her side, seize her power and fulfil her destiny.
